About This Item

New York: Random House. F/F. 1991. 1st Edition. Hardcover; 1st Printing. 1st edition/1st printing, Random House, 1991. Fine book: clean, straight very tight (unread). SIGNED by author on front end page. Light grey boards with green cloth spine, pastedowns and endpapers are decorated with maps. The Fine dustjacket is clean, bright, price intact and looks like new. A lyrical and sobering account, compiled from the author's trips to Africa in 1961, 1970, 1978 and 1986. He has compiled for us a sobering portrait of vanishing worlds and what is replacing them - not just the harm being done to the vanishing species sharing this earth with us, but to the environment and resources of Africa and also to its human inhabitants. ; 8.5 x 5.5 inches; 225 pages; Signed by Author .
