From the personal library of Dr. Franz Schulze, influential professor of art history and architecture and prior architect himself, who signs his name here neatly. A fine-looking, structurally sound copy of the original, true First Edition, the thirty-second volume in the influential Bollingen Series series of works devoted to art and history, social sciences and humanities, bound handsomely in a heavy oatmeal linen cloth over boards, black cloth-backed, with a gilt and black device to front cover, lettering and devices to spine. Lacking original dust jacket. Folktales of all the major African tribes selected and edited by Paul Radin in collaboration with Elmore Marvel, with Radin's Introduction and then sculptures selected by Jame Johnson Sweeney. Volume contains scholarly apparatus in the form of, e.g., notes, index, and bibliography. xxi [1], 1-353 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
