Chicago: The Reilly & Lee Co [1920]. 4to, 128pp. Green cloth with color pictorial label affixed to the front. 9 color plates and numerous b&w illustrations. Minute rubbing to spine ends and corners, light rubbing to edges of front label, pages lightly yellowed, rear endpapers discolored where a piece of paper (obviously acidic) had been left at some point.
First edition. The first of many books featuring William Donahey's beloved Teenie Weenies. Based on his comic strip, which ran in the Chicago Tribune for over 50 years starting in 1914. This collection of stories features the tiny titular characters interacting with everyday objects as they attempt to survive in the world.
