"'H had it,'" said Inky Black Ink Spot. "I-I-I-I-I-I don't know," said Nan Etticoat..." Lacks the color frontis which appeared in the first edition. Decorative endpapers. Gray cloth boards with red and black graphic. Illustrated by L.J. Bridgman. Tideline from past long-ago water-contact appears, gradually decreasing in size, throughout entire book at bottom right corners of text. Hinges started. Front free endpaper partly detached along seam. Previous owner's writing to this (front free endpaper) page. Small scottie-dog sticker to rear pastedown endpaper. Spine faded.
