Part one wrapper lightly soiled with small pen mark on front, spine creased with ends nicked, small stains in margins of pages 16-17, part two has some stains in margins of a few pages, spine ends nicked, both have cocked spines, an about very good set.

Association copy of the second of five volumes in the "Eastern Esoteric Tradition" subdivision of the ambitious Adepts series by Canadian occultist and Philosophical Research Society- founder Manly Palmer Hall (1901-1990). Los Angeles: Philosophical Research Society, 1953. First edition (stated first printing). 112pp. 8vo. Signature-bound in matte amber wraps printed in red orange front cover and spine. Very good or better, with light wear to corners and hinges, dust-dulling to spine, toning to textblock edges. Signed and inscribed by Hall on the half-title: "To Paul [Grell] with warm regards & appreciation Manly." Hall's inscribee, Paul Grell (1906-1997), was an American printmaker, bookbinder, and astrologer, who served as executive secretary of the American Federation of Astrologers from 1959 to 1970.
