Amsterdam, Netherlands: Wereldbibliotheek, 1952. Hardcover without dust jacket, 36 pages of text including several illustrations (plus photographs of the artists), plus 104 illustrations, plus Erratum slip laid in;--- text in Dutch;---cream-coloured linen covers with gilt lettering on front cover still bright and clear (title only in gilt on spine less bright), traces of foxing to front cover, more so to spine which is also age darkened, foxing and dust speckling to top edge, there is foxing to the page edges and the endpapers, but overall very gently used, hardly a trace of shelf wear, previous owner's professionally designed (by owner, Dutch-Canadian silhouette artist and graphic designer Hans-Detlev Voss who still lived and worked in The Netherlands during the 1930s/1940s) bookplate inside front cover, his usual tiny ink numeral inside back cover, text and illustration pages very clean and unmarked, fresh and white.
