The condition of these dark gray cloth hard backs are Near Fine to Very Good+, no jacket. This is the seventeenth printing, c1939 with a blind stamp on the bottom back edge. Volume One is Very Good+, and has a bump to the top corner edge which gave a light wrinkle to the first few pages, otherwise very good condition. The other volumes are Near Fine condition. All volumes are very bright an also very clean. The edges are very good with tight and unmarked pages. No names or writing. The gilt lettering on the spines are very sharp and very clean. "with 426 half-tones of photographs, and 244 cuts of cartoons, letters, documents".
