Georgetown, Massachusetts, 1842. Original documents. Very Good. Four documents, written in various hands and inks on various papers. (1) Georgetown, Nov 30th, 1842 through Sept 7, 1843: lists 16 items (shoeing horse, new shoes, sharpening, nails for waggon, groning dasher, repair wagon, etc.), totaling $8.40, paid by Isaac Thompson. (2) Georgetown, 17 July 1849, to Robert Bayer(?) for repairing Slayriging and wagon. (3) Agreement dated 3 August 1852, between Moses H. Shaw of Gloucester and Charles Boynton of Georgetown with George H. Rogers "to deliver to said Rogers at Gloucester within twenty days from this date, from twenty to twenty-two sound Canadian Horses, from five to eight years old, dark skin, in good, fair condition, to consist of one Stud, twelve Mares, and from seven to nine geldings...." Total price of $65, etc. Signed by all three men. (4) Auction receipt dated April 5, 1856: "1 Chesnut Mare, 107.50 [&] 1 Bay Horse, 92.50. Bot at Auction." Marked Paid and signed by Dudley N. Bayley.
