Uniforms such as : Fifth New York Volunteer Infantry(Duryea's Zouaves) compared to Zouave of the Louisiana Tiger Battalion. Sailors, drummers, and sailors are also illustrated. Colors of uniforms are part of the author's information printed on each page, with some brief history. Nothing has been colored in, no markings or soiling of any kind. Very light wear to cover edges. Washington DC: National Park Service/ Dept. Of the Interior, 1961. Reprint 1961. . Soft cover. Fine. Fine/1st ed. Prehistory Indian Mounds in Macon Georgia. Work on the mounds started in 1933 by the Civil Works Administration, with most of the systematic exploration of the mounds and surrounding sites actually being performed by the Works Progess Administration and the Civilian Conservation Corps. The city of Macon purchased the land and gave it to the national government which declared the area the Oculgee National Monument in 1936. 58 pages, with maps of the town layout, illustrations, b&w photos of artifacts and the excavation area. Book is clean and tightly stapled, with excellent color to the cover, no soiling or marking to interior or exterior.

This nineteen page pamphlet highlights some of the industrial sites around the state of Georgia that the Georgia Trust considered important to preserve, and if not preserve, document. Along with industrial factories, other types of site have been incorporated such as several pre-railroad canals located in different parts of Georgia, a turpentine still, North Fork Trestle or Well's Viaduct and even Fort Pulaski. A good start to Georgia industrial history. Pamphlet is clean, complete, secure in cover. No markings with the exception of the entry about McCranie's Turpentine Still, which has been neatly highlighted in yellow, but no print is obscured. Each entry is accompanied by a b&w photo. Booklet contains a large full page b&w detailed map of the battefield, and many large b&w photos of the area before and after the Civil War. No photos of battle scenes or destruction from the war. Each photo has a lengthy caption describing the importance of the area pictured. Eight pages of stories told to editor Oliver T. Reilly by veterans of the battle. Lincoln's address at the dedication of the Gettysburg National Cemetery. Also the story of Antietam from the tablets erected by the battlefield Commission separated into Confederate and Union tablets. Booklet is clean with a couple of soiled spots on back cover.
