Description:
The House with the Parapet Walls, Terpstra, John. Published by Gaspereau Press, Nova Scotia, 2014. First Edition. Signed and inscribed by author on half title page. 8vo up to 9½" tall., 148pp. Brown illustrated card jacket, black soft covers with silver titles. Fade to top edge front and otherwise in mint condition. Grieving the diminishment and death of his elderly mother, John Terpstra finds solace in a seemingly unusual place: the stories (both historical and fanciful) of the nineteenth-century houses in his Hamilton neighbourhood and of the families which have inhabited them. John Terpstra is a Canadian poet and cabinet maker.
