Description:
White Rock, BC: Transylvania Press, 1994. 8vo. [14], 337, [1] pp. Colour-illustrated title page facsimile of the 1901 original by Nathan. Black cloth, red lettering & illustration on front cover, w/ open-backed slipcase, F/F copy. First edition, thus, 1 of 500 copies. This nicely printed facsimile of the exceedingly scarce 1901 original edition was abridged by Stoker himself from 162,000 to 137,000 words. The revision substantially increased the speed of the narrative, and there were other changes written by the author in order to accommodate the 138 page paperback format required by Constable.
