The Birch Tree
Condition: Ex-Library |
Bovey Tracey: J.E. Gouldson, 1992. Hardcover. Ex-Library. About 9.5 x 6 inches. 106 pp inc index. An ex-library book, apparently unissued but with ffep removed, several stamps and a bookplate to damaged paste down. Shelf label to spine. Apart from that the text block is clean, tight and bright. A comprehensive family history of the Birch family of Sefton from 1776 to the 1980's, though I imagine the more recent years less comprehensive. The book is not a dry genealogy but contains stories and anecdotes, especially of more recent family members. The book appears well researched but unfortunately there are no, or few, source notes though it is possible to infer where at least some information came from. more information
