London:: Longmans, Green and Co,, 1909.. First edition.. Hardcover. VG. xvi, 317, with an errata slip tipped in at p.1. Contents clean and unmarked. Top corners of some pages have been trimmed a tiny bit, presumably to 'tidy' bent corners. Some toning to endpapers, and front pastedown has bookseller's rubber stamp, and their mini label at bottom edge. Rear endpaper split at joint, but very little movement. 22x14.5cms, in the original binding of navy cloth. Upper board ruled and titled in blind, spine titled in gilt. Joints rubbed, spine ends puckered with tiny splits and fraying. Faint mark to lower board, corners slightly scuffed and blunted. In very good used condition.
