Burbank, California: Warner Brothers Television, 1980. Softcover. Very Good. Photocopied teleplay. Quarto. 230pp. Bradbound in white wrappers. Very good or better in rubbed and toned wraps. The revised final draft of the television movie that was the pilot for the sitcom, *Love, Sidney*, the first show to feature a gay person as its central character. It starred Tony Randall as a successful gay man and his relationship with a single mom and her daughter. The show, which lasted for just two season, was pioneering in its positive depiction of a gay man but public outcry forced producers to drop all but veiled references to Sidney's homosexuality and instead push his "confirmed bachelor" status.
