Heavy rubbing and fading to ends of spine. 1" x 1/4" loss of cloth at tail of spine. 1" x 1/4" loss of cloth at head of spine. 1/4" tear at head of spine. Rubbing at corners of boards with up to 1/8" loss of cloth. ; 224 pages + plates + frontis + an appendix of 6 maps. No date (c. 1920s). Brown cloth boards with black and cream illustration.
