First Edition decorated American trade binding (signed binding - monogram DD on cover - Decorative Designers). "Authorized by Sergeant Alvin C. York" on cover. Green cloth boards with black decoration and lettering on cover, black lettering on spine. No fraying or wear. Slightest hint of soiling to rear board. Binding is tight and square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean, with clean blank endpapers. No names, writing or marks. Lovely full color frontispiece illustration, many additional black and white illustrative plates throughout. 240 pages.

St. John, Indiana: Larry Harrison. Soft cover. Good. 240 pages, the interior is clean and free of markings. The book is beginning to separate between page 68 & 69, no pages are unattached. At the tail of the spine at the front cover separation is beginning (approximately 1/2 inch). This is a reprint of a biography of Sergeant Alvin C. York by his official biographer and I have personally read parts of the work more than once. It is a most interesting and very engrossing read about the most decorated soldier of World War I. This copy is highly readable but not in collectible condition. Available for immediate shipment, carefully packed.

Philadelphia, PA: John C. Winston Company, 1930. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good+. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, green cloth boards decorated in black. Exterior shows spotting and soiling with loss to the finish of the cloth on all sides. Corners and edges show bumping/wear and front board has a couple red stains present. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. Pages are toned due to age and type of paper used and foxing/spotting is present. Front pastedown has a few chips to the paper along with an owner signature in the corner. The opposite end page has an old price written in pen. No other handwriting found, no bookplates, no library markings present. First edition thus with single date of 1930 appearing on the copyright page.
