Lieutenant-General Henry Wynyard, Commander of His Majesty's Forces in Scotland and Colonel of the 64th regiment of Foot was granted the Freedom of the City of Edinburgh in February 1814. This undoubtedly celebrates that event. Thomas Hamly Butler(1762-1823) English composer who worked with Sheridan at Drury Lane and later moved to Edinburgh as a teacher, composer and music publisher. Along with others, Butler did much to popularise Scots music and song. James D. Brown in his 1886 book lists several notable examples of Scots songs arranged as Rondos by Butler. Engraved by Walker & Hutton (probably) of Edinburgh. Folio size with music. Condition VG .
