London: Faber & Faber, 1935 First edition . HB. Red cloth with gilt tiles and motif to spine, and pictorial dustjacket by Barnett Freedmann. 605pp. Top edges gilt. With frontispiece drawing by Freedman, and 18 b&w photos and reproductions in plates. Very Good in Good jacket, now in clear sleeve. Creased and rubbed spine ends, clean covers and pages. Jacket front and back bright, spine browned, edges have losses and creases which have been neatly backed with red paper so that they are much less visible; largest loss is top spine -first word lost and most of second.
