London: Faber and Faber, 1930 First edition. HB. Brown cloth, gilt titles, no dustjacket. Top edges gilt. 317pp. With 4 b&w illustrations in plates, including tissue-guarded frontispiece. Windham's life in the late 18th century, including travels in Ireland, England, Scotland, a voyage to find the North-west passage, MP for Norwich, friendship with Dr Johnson. Light fading to cloth on spine (darker mark where small label has been removed) and back, faint stain to front cover; a few spots to margins, but endpapers heavily foxed and browned; second blank flyleaf appears to have been detached. A Good copy.
